Let’s dive into the world of Abhinita—a curious explorer, creative thinker, and adaptable problem-solver at RocketShip HQ. Drawn in by the energy of experimentation and the chance to turn ideas into impact, she thrives at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and execution.
Whether she’s shaping scrappy concepts into polished campaigns or collaborating with the team to crack growth challenges, Abhinita brings fresh perspective and infectious enthusiasm to everything she does.
Off-duty, you’ll likely find her chasing her next adventure—diving deep underwater, catching waves, painting on a quiet afternoon, or reminiscing about stories from across Southeast Asia. From trekking Mt. Fuji to accidentally crossing borders, she’s always in motion, collecting experiences (and a few wild stories) along the way.
The work at Rocketship HQ
Three words to describe yourself
Creative, curious, adaptable. (And a shameless fourth: fun… but who’s counting?)
What drew you to RocketShip HQ? How has the company evolved since you joined?
Honestly? My friend Neil works here and referred me. Before joining, I had taken a year off to backpack across Southeast Asia, so I came back with fresh perspective and a lot of energy. RocketShip felt like the right place to channel it.
I’ve only just joined, so I’m still discovering how the company has evolved—but so far, so good.
What do you like most about your role?
The trifecta for me is brainstorming and ideation, writing and content, and strategy. I love when a scrappy idea on a whiteboard turns into something polished and purposeful—especially knowing that creative quality drives 3-4x more performance variance than targeting or bidding alone.
As a Creative Strategist, I get to operate at the intersection of big thinking and execution—and that’s genuinely exciting. It’s a role where dedicated creative strategists outperform teams in cost per install.
Proudest moment at RocketShip HQ
I’m new here, so my biggest moments are still ahead of me. That said, I hit the ground running, got up to speed quickly, and already have people appreciating my creative work—work that starts with structured briefs for better performance. For someone who just joined, that feedback means a lot.
What does a typical workday look like?
A mix of thinking, making, and collaborating. I’m collaborative at heart, so a good day involves creative ideation, writing or strategy work, and conversations with the team.
I enjoy days where I can both think broadly and create something tangible.
CAREER JOURNEY
A key turning point in your career
Quitting my job to backpack across Southeast Asia for a year. It sounds cliché, but it genuinely reset my perspective.
I came back more open to experimentation, less attached to a “perfect” path, and far more adaptable. My experience across sales, marketing, customer success, and strategy gave me breadth—the travel gave me clarity. That cross-functional perspective is invaluable when the right team structure.
Mentors or influences
I’ve learned from a wide range of people across teams and roles. I’m always observing and absorbing, so in many ways, my mentors have been many—and often unaware of the role they played.
If I had to sum it up: life has been my mentor.
Key lessons learned
Stay curious and keep learning. Every role—even unexpected ones—teaches you something valuable.
Working across functions has made me a more well-rounded thinker. And adaptability isn’t a soft skill—it’s a superpower, especially when result-focused ads outperform feature-based and you need to pivot creative direction quickly.
BEYOND WORK
Favorite travel & food experiences
A few highlights:
- Japan — Trekked Mt. Fuji during a typhoon to catch the sunrise at the summit
- Philippines (Malapascua) — Dived with rare Thresher Sharks
- Vietnam — Accidentally crossed into China (long story)
- Spain — Paella, sangria, and immaculate vibes
What do you do for fun?
Apart from traveling, I have an advanced scuba diving license, I surf (to varying degrees of success), and I do oil painting.
Basically, I like being underwater, near water, covered in paint, or on a flight.
Bucket list (Top 3)
- Get a skydiving license
- Visit the reindeer tribes in Mongolia
- Learn to fly a plane
Fun fact
I’ve completed two Vipassana retreats—10 days of complete silence, no phone, no talking, just you and your thoughts. Twice.
I know, I don’t seem the type. But yes, I completed both… successfully. (I’m in my zen era.)
