The work at Rocketship HQ
Q1. What are three words that you would use to describe yourself?
Curious, strategic, adaptable.
Q2. What drew you to RocketShip HQ originally? How has the company changed since?
With a background in mobile marketing and user acquisition, I was drawn to RocketShip HQ for its sharp focus on performance, experimentation, and driving real, measurable growth for mobile apps.
Q3. What do you like about your job?
I love the intersection of creativity and analytics. Also, no two days are the same, which keeps me on my toes and constantly learning.
Q4. What has been your proudest moment at Rocketship HQ?
One of my proudest moments has been working on live projects where I was deeply involved in the end-to-end execution process—from strategy to launch. Additionally, contributing to the development of creative assets enhanced by AI, specifically designed to improve user acquisition performance, was both exciting and rewarding.
Q5. What is a typical workday like for you?
Mornings usually start with performance checks and coffee (non-negotiable). The rest of the day is a mix of strategizing, optimizing, analyzing user behavior, creative reviews, and the occasional “wait, how is it already 6 PM?” moment.
Career journey
Q6. What was a key inflection/turning point in your career?
Transitioning from a generalist marketing role to user acquisition. Once I realized how much I enjoyed developing growth strategies and analyzing performance metrics, there was no turning back. That shift opened up new opportunities and helped me carve out my niche.
Q7. Tell us about a mentor or a person who has inspired or influenced you significantly.
I’ve been fortunate to have both professional and personal influences shape my journey. A former boss once told me, “You don’t need to be loud to lead—you need to be clear.” That simple line left a lasting impact. It taught me the value of thoughtful leadership, clarity in communication, and staying composed under pressure.
On a more personal level, Zakir Khan, a stand-up comedian and philosopher, has had a surprisingly profound influence on me. One of his quotes that has stayed with me is, “Professional goals are temporary, but personal loss is permanent.” It’s a reminder to stay grounded, value people over positions, and never lose sight of what truly matters in life..
Q8. What are some of the key lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?
- Data without context can be dangerous.
- Not every metric needs to be optimized at once.
- People > platforms. The best results come from strong collaboration, not just clever targeting.

Q9. Tell us about your favorite travel & food spots or experiences (feel free to include more than 1).
I’ve always been drawn to the mountains—they have this quiet way of reminding you that standing still can still mean standing strong. There’s something incredibly peaceful and motivating about being surrounded by silence and scenery that speaks louder than words. Trekking through the hills gives me clarity like nothing else.
As for food, nothing beats a warm plate of Chole Kulche in Delhi. Also, one time in Goa, I ordered something I couldn’t pronounce and lived to tell the tale.
Q10. What do you do for fun?
Trekking, playing cricket, and chasing cozy sunsets like they owe me money. Also, I occasionally attempt to cook—I call it “experimental gastronomy,” others call it “a fire hazard.”
Q11. What are the top items on your bucket list?
- Trek to Everest Base Camp without Googling “altitude sickness” every 5 minutes.
- Watch a live cricket match at Lord’s.
- Witness the Northern Lights—and try not to cry while pretending I’m just cold.
Q12. What is a fun fact about yourself that not many people might know?
I’m a proud teaholic—I truly believe I could survive on tea alone if the world ran out of food. Chai isn’t just a drink; it’s my happiness, my fuel, and honestly, my secret to survival.
