Competitive creative research

Start with a public ad library, then separate prominent ads from recent launches before comparing their creative patterns.

Competitor research · v1.0.1

Meta Ad Library analysis

Study a verified prominent-ad sample and a separate recent-launch sample. Compare creative families with source-linked evidence, then review a local report with screenshots and auditable classifications.

Needs: Python 3.10+, Chrome for anonymous public collection, and your own Gemini API key. Imported media works without Chrome.

Outputs: local HTML, Markdown, per-ad CSV, mechanic-setting and mechanic-emotion matrices, and timestamped screenshots. No Slides output.

What is an AI skill?

A skill is a folder with a SKILL.md instruction file and, where needed, supporting scripts and references. It gives an AI agent a repeatable method: which inputs to inspect, how to work through them, what to produce and which claims the evidence can support.

For example, an ad-library skill should keep prominent ads separate from recent launches, preserve the source behind each observation and distinguish a storytelling mechanism from a setting or emotion. Those choices matter more than simply asking an AI to summarize a competitor.

Before you download

The package runs locally and does not require a RocketShip account. Public collection uses an anonymous Chrome session; you can also import media you already have. Analysis uses your own Gemini key, so provider usage is billed to your Google account.

Read the setup guide and start with a three-ad pilot before expanding.

How to use this skill

  1. Read the instructions and requirements. Check the included files and the tools your agent can actually access.
  2. Start with a specific brief. Supply the advertiser, date window, intended output and available evidence. Review the coverage report before using the findings.
